Project Manager on a Nuclear Waste Project for an initial 6 month contract role that has an immediate start
The role can be home-based with occasional trips to client offices near Oxford.
About the role:
The Project Manager will be accountable to the Programme Lead and or Senior Project Manager and will be responsible for the management and oversight of their scope of works.
Responsibilities for the role include:
▪Managing their individual Service Packages and or scopes of work as per agree plans and deliverables.
▪Ensuring that the interdependencies and interfaces with other Service Packages, projects, stakeholders, and the Authorities are suitably addressed.
▪Deputising for and or representing the Programme Lead or Senior Project Manager.
▪Coordinating and managing workshops.
▪Monitoring and reporting progress against scheduled activities.
▪Proactively managing change, risks, issues, opportunities, and dependencies.
▪Processing and expediting document deliverables.
▪Preparation of the weekly and monthly dashboard reports and metrics
Ideal candidate will have:
▪A track record of holding a project delivery type role on technology or delivery-based programmes.
▪Experience of applying User requirements and programme objectives to a project, driving business cases and management of customer objectives.
▪Experience in project management, project controls and contract management.
▪Working knowledge of all aspects of project management including risk management, change management and mitigation technique.
▪Working knowledge of schedule management and techniques to interrogate and proactively manage interdependencies.
▪Experience seeing projects through the full lifecycle.
▪Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
The role is likely to be outside IR35 but the final decision will be made after a Qdos assessment
