Junior Procurement Specialist/Buyer
Role is on a contract basis (5 months initially) on a large scale Oil & Gas Project.
The role requires the successful candidate to work collaboratively with the deployed PSCM team leads and engineering and construction specialists supporting major projects.
Roles and Responsibilities:
•Responsible and accountable for ensuring delivery of all equipment and materials by the agreed ROS dates for their designated packages, supporting the Category Lead and Procurement Team Leader.
•Responsible for packages as designated by the Category Lead.
•Responsible and accountable for issue or input to all relevant Project documentation for designated packages. RFI, RFP, BEP, RFA, PO, SVI, CO as directed by Category Lead.
•Inputs to and accountable for designated packages to weekly delivery area review meetings (PSR) through but not limited to:
- Status and Progress.
- Identifies and agrees actions for critical issues.
- Establishes status on engineering deliverables.
•Interfaces with Procurement Coordinator to follow up on delivery / schedule issues through to resolution.
•Interfaces with EPMS Contractor on outstanding Engineering issues that are impacting schedule.
•Identifies key issues to Category Lead based on interface with Procurement Coordinator and EPMS Contractor.
•Provides input to the weekly Key Issues slides through Category Lead.
•Liaises with the Category Leads for Engineered Equipment and Materials to:
- identify area delivery priorities.
- resolve any priority issues between delivery areas.
- monitor package progress against ROS dates.
- ensure there are no issues impacting progress.
•Inputs to weekly PSR and ESR reviews with Procurement and Engineering for their designated area, with full support from Materials and Planning for the updates.
•Identifies priorities with Category Leads and Logistics to ensure equipment and materials shipments are scheduled in line with sites ROS dates.
•Maintains accurate cost control within change register.
•Highlights vendor data priorities to Category Leads and Expediting.
•Provides input into Project Risk and Knowledge Management development.
•Reviews key documents, to ensure understanding of process.
•Inputs to and responsible for designated package close out.
•Interface between material control, doc control, cost group and accounts payable.
Education / Experience required:
•Competency in Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
•PSCM certification (MCIPS or equivalent)
•Oil and Gas industry Procurement experience.
•5 years procurement experience
