Geotechnical / Civil Engineer
Role includes:
•Work as a specialist engineer on feasibility, concept, FEED, detailed design, or EPC/ EPCM projects, onshore and offshore.
•Will be a subject specialist within the specific area of civil, foundation, and geotechnical engineering, onshore and offshore.
•Additional capability and experience within civil and/or structural engineering roles and tasks would be an advantage.
•Technically responsible within a project for Civil, foundation, retaining structure, geotechnical / soils engineering aspects of the project scope of work, including execution of project deliverables. Subject to project size, will coordinate and work with other specialists and 3rd party consultants, including supervision, review and specific checking activities as appropriate.
•Capable of formulating resolutions to technically challenging and/or high-profile issues and communicating effectively with project engineers, project management, and clients.
•Undertakes specialist activities or reviews of civil and geotechnical engineering aspects, based on their high level of competency within civil and geotechnical engineering.
•Supervises, reviews and checks the Civil and geotechnical engineering activities.
•Works to the requirements of the Civil / Structural Design Manual.
•Identifies and resolves discrepancies and divergences from the original proposal/contract by raising technical queries and/or identifies trends and changes within the framework of management of change.
•Participates in engineering design reviews and provides all necessary geotechnical/civil input and support to the close-out of actions
•Reviews relevant ITB documents submitted for proposals, and Scopes of Works received from clients as and when required.
•Responsible for planning and identifying technical requirements through the project, as applicable to the role. Liaises with the CSA group manager on these matters.
This is hybrid role x4 days in office (Woking) x1 day remote
Status: PERM
Salary: £60-77k pa (+ benefits) depending on experience
