Senior Structural Engineer x2

The successful candidate:

• As a Technical Advisor - Offshore structural, you will support the lead engineer related preparation of engineering deliverables within the scope assigned:

Design basis, material and construction specifications

• Independently perform engineering analyses for operational (in-service) phase (in-place, fatigue), non-operational phase (loadout, transportation, lifting) and accidental phase (blast, fire, dropped object) for brownfield projects.

Perform detailed design of equipment supports, access platforms etc.

Review analyses/ calculations performed by others, provide technical guidance and proactively resolve any discrepancies

The work will involve liaising with other disciplines, the client, and 3rd-party contractors, and coordinating with project team members across global offices to deliver tasks within allotted timelines and budgets.

Skills/Experience:

•Degree in Structural Engineering Design

• Minimum experience of 12 years, having excellent technical and practical engineering skills and able to consistently deliver on quality and schedule.

• Proficient user of SACS suite of software is a prerequisite.

• Proficiency to perform non-linear FEA using ABAQUS and USFOS is desirable.

• In-depth knowledge of latest revisions of offshore design codes such as ISO 19901, EN 19902, and applicable DNV & NORSOK codes is a must.

• Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks

• Ability to work both independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment

• Ability to work in an office-based role

Duration: 3 months
Rate: £58 ph (Limited) depending on experience
