Junior Electrical Design Engineer
This role will involve supporting the electrical design of major projects from initial concept through to completion. You will work closely with senior engineers, developing practical skills and gaining exposure to all facets of electrical design.
Key Responsibilities include:
•Assist in designing electrical systems for large-scale infrastructure projects, covering low and high voltage, lighting, earthing, and other systems.
•Prepare feasibility studies, perform design calculations, and contribute to project design documentation.
•Use industry-standard software such as ETAP, Trimble, and DIALux for design and analysis.
Ideal candidate:
Recent graduates must hold a relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
Certified electricians holding the City & Guilds 2396 Design, Erection, and Verification qualification are preferred, though this is not a mandatory requirement.
•Understanding of electrical design theory including distribution systems, lighting, and earthing.
•Familiarity with industry software tools (ETAP, Trimble, DIALux).
•Practical experience is advantageous but not essential for graduates.
•Strong foundational knowledge of electrical design principles.
