Principal Design Engineer / Pipeline/Subsea Engineer
Our client is currently looking for an experienced Principal Design Engineer to join the team.
Skills Required:
• Degree qualified in civil, structural or mechanical discipline.
• Will be involved primarily in detailed FE analysis but also in general subsea pipeline and spools design activities, such as, wall thickness, stability, bottom roughness and freespan.
• A comprehensive understanding of structural analysis, including, statics, dynamics and fatigue as well as installation and constructability aspects of pipeline systems.
• Should have extensive experience in Subsea engineering with knowledge of typical subsea software tools
Qualifications and Software:
• Degree qualified in civil, structural or mechanical discipline
• FEA software Orcaflex, ANSYS, ABAQUS (2D shell and 3D solid elements) and hand calculations. Knowledge of DNV SESAM, Sage Profile 2D and AutoPIPE will be a benefit.
Location: Kingston (3 days office / 2 days remote)
Status: Long Term Contract / Outside IR35
Rate: circa £75+ ph (Limited)
