Flood Modelling Discipline Lead

Flood Modelling Discipline Lead for our client, to report to the Strategic Delivery Project Manager.

This is a contract role which falls inside IR35 and will be for 12 months.

Duties to include:

*Indirect reports to the project role are derived from the technical teams
*Provide an interface between the Flood Modelling team and the wider project team.
*Manage the resourcing requirements for the Flood Modelling team.
*Lead and oversee the Technical and Assurance matters related to the flood modelling.
*Understand specific project requirements and to report on Technical and Assurance matters.
*Co-ordination with project management and technical disciplines across the HS2 project.
*Management of Flood Modelling team including overseeing staff resourcing requirements and coaching to junior members of the team.
*Leading Flood Modelling team self-assurance and overseeing PCRA requirements (i.e. Ensuring QA/Doc control procedures adhered).
*Technical Approver for the Flood Models and Flood Level Analysis Reports.
*Liaison with permanent works design teams.

Qualifications and experience:

Ideal candidate will have:

*BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
*Chartered professional status, or equivalent.
*Have experience in leading and coordinating flood modelling teams in support of large and complex multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
*Good working knowledge of flood risk policy and industry standards.
*Good motivation, influencing and people management skills.
*Manage quality processes

Duration: 12 months
Location: Remote/Working from home
Status: This is a contract role which falls inside IR35
